02.12.25 Indoor Rock Climbing (9am-1pm)

The Waypoint Indoor Climbing program provides access to welcoming indoor climbing gyms throughout New England. Participants are able to challenge themselves physically, build confidence, and experience the fun of climbing as part of a supportive and diverse community. Waypoint Adventure trip leaders specialize in leading accessible adventure education programs for youth and adults of all abilities. Your assistance on these programs helps us provide access to individuals who may require physical, cognitive, sensory, or social-emotional accommodations. As a volunteer on an indoor climbing program, you may be asked to assist in a variety of ways (please note that the following are not volunteer eligibility requirements. We are happy to tailor tasks to your skills and abilities, provided you meet our indoor climbing volunteer criteria):

What to expect:
This is a Boston Public School program, so all participants are school-aged. Depending on the class attending, you may be asked to belay, help with harnessing, assist instructors with adaptive systems, climb alongside a participant, and/or engage with students depending on their ages, needs, abilities, and engagement levels.

There is ample parking in the lot adjacent to the gym.

Meeting Location:
Please check in at the front desk inside the gym; gym staff will direct you to our meeting location.

Waivers:
Please complete the following Central Rock Gym waivers prior to arriving if you have not already done so:
• General Waiver
• Bouldering Orientation Waiver
• Autobelay Waiver

Bathroom:
Restrooms are available on site.
