Location:Breakheart Reservation 177 Forest St. Saugus MA 01906

Instructor: Eileen (617-544-7116)

Conditions:  We will hike through the woods.  Some of the paths are paved and others are dirt paths with some rocks and roots.  Breakheart Reservation has up and down hills.

Bathrooms: There are fully accessible restrooms at the visitor center

What to bring:

  • Small back pack or bag to carry your things
  • Clothes to cover all skin (long pants/socks for tick protection)
  • Lunch and/or Snack for the trail
  • Water bottle
  • Sun protection (hat, glasses, lotion)
  • Bug lotion
  • Lace-up sneakers or hiking boots

After the Program: Please remember to do a tick check!

What to Expect:

  • 10:00 Arrive and meet staff
  • 10:10-10:45 set up any gear that is needed, prep group space, review any special adaptive systems
  • 10:45: go over participants
  • 11:00: individuals arrives
  • 11:10: start opening circle, goal, and/or games
  • 11:30: start hiking
  • 1:00: lunch/snack
  • 2:00: group departs
  • 2:00: clean up site and pack equipment into WPA vehicles
  • 2:30 staff and volunteers depart
