05.06.25 Outdoor Rock Climbing 9:00am-1:00pm

Location: Hammond Pond Climbing Area Link to map with parking area/directions

Before coming out: The path to the wall is not level but accessible to manual chairs (as long as your chair can go over grass).

Parking/Route to the wall: Parking is across the parking lot from the Tesla charging station towards the woods.  Enter "WEBSTER CONSERVATION AREA" into SatNav apps. Walk in on the maiin trail about 750'- Waypoint will be set up on the cliffs to the left across from the pond. If you have any questions, please call or text Harrison.

Bathrooms: There is not a bathroom on site, but one close by at The Shops at Chestnut Hill (The Container Store)

What to bring:

• Small back pack or bag to carry your things
• Climbing gear including helmet (if you have your own; we will provide you with gear otherwise)
• Lunch
• Snacks
• Sun protection
• Water bottle

Schedule:

• 9:00am: Volunteers arrive and get acquainted
• 9:15am: Volunteers assist Waypoint Adventure staff to set up top rope climbs.
• 9:45am: Review group, participants, and goals for the day
• 10:00: Participants arrive
• 10:15-10:45 opening circle, safety briefing, and get ready to climb
• 10:45-12:00PM climbing 
• 12:00-12:30 Lunch and closing circle
• 12:30-1PM- assist Waypoint Adventure staff to pack up equipment
• 1:00 PM- volunteers depart
