Description

If you have not registered in Jumbula before, please first create an account using our  Volunteer Sign Ups 2025 page and then register for this program.

This program is in partnership with the Perkins School for the Blind.

Location: Perkins School for the Blind, Howe Building (175 Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472)

Instructor: Oscar (503-803-0080)

Bathrooms: There are bathrooms at this location.

Schedule: 

  • 5:30pm - Arrive and help bring boats and gear inside.
  • 6:30pm - Students arrive at the pool
  • 7pm-8:30pm - Kayaking
  • 8:30pm students depart, volunteers and Waoypoint staff load boats and gear back into the van. 
  • 9pm - Waypoint staff and volunteers depart

What to bring:

  • Small back pack or bag to carry your things
  • Lunch
  • Water bottle
  • Swim suit / water clothes (please come already wearing them) 
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
