Waypoint Adventure trip leaders specialize in leading accessible adventure-education programs for youth and adults of all abilities. Our small group hikes are the perfect way to try an activity for the first time, get to meet new people, or just get out into nature and experience the serenity of the trail, river, or lake with our community. Participants benefit from our selection of adaptive equipment, receive instruction to meet any learning style, and be encouraged to reach your individual goals. Volunteers are asked to help us create community and make people feel welcome, help push off road wheelchairs for short periods of time if necessary, and help with group management.

Parking: South Border Rd. Parking Lot

Meeting Location: You will see us upon arriving. It is a small parking area. 

Bathroom: There are no bathrooms on site.

What To Pack:

• Small backpack
• Warm coat or layers
• Hat/gloves (if needed)
  
• Sunglasses (if needed)
• Snacks/ lunch
• Water bottle
• Lace-up sneakers or hiking boots
• personal snowshoes/trekking Poles (if conditions dictate- Waypoint will bring plenty if you don't have!)

What to Expect:

• 9:00 Arrive and meet staff
• 9:10-9:45 set up any gear that is needed, prep group space, review any special adaptive systems
• 9:45: go over participants
• 10:00: group arrives
• 10:10: start opening circle, goal, and/or games
• 10:30: start hiking - snack at Panther Cave 
• 12:00: Lunch near the parking lot
• 12:30: group departs
• 1:00: clean up site
• 1:00 staff and volunteers depart
