10.28.26 Carter School Hiking Volunteers 10:00am - 1:30pm

If you have not registered in Jumbula before, please first create an account using our Volunteer Sign Ups 2026 page and then register for this program.

This program is in collaboration with the Carter School. We especially need volunteers who are comfortable pushing off-road wheelchairs. We can train you on use of all chairs prior to student arrival, and will ensure ample breaks throughout to prevent fatigue. 

Timing: 10am-1pm (students on site 11am-12:30pm)

Location:1904 Canton Ave Milton, MA 02186. If using Google Maps, typing in "1786-1798 Parking Canton MA" also works or using the GPS coordinates of 42.21990742456126, -71.11863170076235). This is the parking lot with the bathroom

Conditions: Paved path or compact dirt with hills at times. Terrain alternates between hills and flat. Rocks and roots to navigate and beginning and end of hike is on a hill on pavement.

Bathrooms: There are bathrooms at this location. The main bathrooms are not accessible, but we can make sure the one that is accessible is open if given notice.

• Small back pack or bag to carry your things
• Warm layers (jacket, fleece, etc.)
• Rain jacket (depending on forecast)
• Lunch
• Water bottle
• Sun protection (hat, glasses, lotion)
• Lace-up sneakers or hiking boots
