This hike will be a disability history hike, focusing on the important disability history in this area of the former Walter E. Fernald Developmental Center and Metropolitan State Hospital. Depending on timing, there may be a visit to the MetFern Cemetery. During this program, you'll see stunning forests, view ponds/waterways, eat lunch and connect with new people. You'll benefit from our selection of adaptive equipment, receive instruction to meet any learning style, and be encouraged to reach your individual goals.
