This series is designed for beginner rock climbers with disabilities who want to progress their skills over the course of a few weeks.The first group from 6:00pm - 6:50pm is for participants with Spinal Cord Injuries. We will meet at Central Rock Gym, Stoneham location, where participants will be paired 1-on-1 with a belayer to assist them in climbing. We will work with participants on their individual goals; whether that's to try rock climbing for the first time, get more comfortable with an adaptive system, improve technique and endurance, or something else.
Participants will commit to attending one session each week for three weeks. Please see the program schedule below.
Program Schedule:
Wednesday, December 4: 5:30PM-8:30PM
Wednesday, December 11: 5:30PM-8:30PM
Wednesday, December 18: 5:30PM-8:30PM
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the session to check in with the front desk, get rental gear on, etc!
Parking: There is accessible parking directly in front of the gym. Other parking can be found in the Red parking garage for no fee.
Meeting Location: Come to the front desk inside of the gym and the gym staff will direct you to our meeting location.
Waivers: Please fill out the following CRG Gym Waivers if you have not already prior to arriving on the program.
Bathroom: There are accessible bathrooms at this location.

Before coming out to climb:
All volunteers MUST have an up-to-date CRG Waiver on file. Please fill out the waiver online at the links above! Parent or guardian must sign for participants who are not their own legal guardians.
All volunteers should be belay certified with Central Rock Gym. If you are not certified with CRG, you will need to take a test. Reach out to Jim or Theresa ([email protected]) if you have any questions regarding this.
