**IMPORTANT FOR NEW VOLUNTEERS: We're so glad you're here! If this is your first time registering to volunteer on any Waypoint Adventure program, please review our volunteer eligibility requirements. If you meet the requirements, you should complete our general volunteer registration HERE in order to provide some necessary information. Tentative Schedule for the Day:

  • 9AM:
    Volunteers arrive to help with set-up and preparation. If any
    participants will utilize off-road wheelchairs, we will have a chance to
    practice ahead of time with gear. 
  • 10AM: First group of participants and their families arrive, get ready, start hike. Volunteers may be asked to help push or pull participants in off-road wheelchairs.
  • 12PM: First group of participants head home on buses.
  • 12PM-1PM: Lunch break and prepare for second set of students and their families
  • 1PM: Second group of participants and their families arrive, get ready, start
    hike. Volunteers may be asked to help push or pull participants in
    off-road wheelchairs.
  • 3PM: Wrap up with 2nd set of participants
  • 3-3:30PM: Clean up and quick debrief

Location:1904 Canton Ave Milton, MA 02186. If using Google Maps, typing in "1786-1798 Parking Canton MA" also works or using the GPS coordinates of 42.21990742456126, -71.11863170076235). This is the parking lot with the abthroom

Conditions: Paved path or compact dirt with hills at times. Terrain alternates between hills and flat. Rocks and roots to navigate and beginning and end of hike is on a hill on pavement.

Bathrooms: There are bathrooms at this location. The main bathrooms are not accessible, but we can make sure the one that is accessible is open if given notice.

What to bring:

  • Comfortable sneakers or hiking boots
  • Water bottle
  • Snack and lunch if staying for both sessions
  • Extra layer or raincoat in case it gets cold and/or rains
  • Small backpack or bag to carry your things
  • Sunglasses or hat
