Description

The Waypoint Outdoor Kayaking program will give you access to some of New England's most beautiful lakes, rivers, and coastline. Enjoy the fun and serenity of the water all while being part of a supportive community. Benefit from the wide array of adaptive kayaking equipment and instruction designed to meet your individual needs. Our highly trained staff will instruct, support, and encourage you as you learn new skills or further develop your existing ones. All kayaking programs will be custom designed to fit the needs of you and/or your group.

Location/Directions: Woerd Ave Boat Launch is at the river's edge at the end of the parking lot across the street from 48 Woerd Ave. in Waltham. Coordinates for the parking lot are: 42.36285064706345, -71.24489185087008

Conditions: The boat launch is slanted pavement off a parking lot and next to a dock. The parking lot has shade. Paddling will be on a fresh water river.  Maximum paddling distance is 2 miles.

Bathrooms: There will be an ADA accessible Portapotty on site.  There is also a Burger King less than 1/2 mile away.

What to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Sandals with a heel strap or sneakers that you don't mind getting wet
  • Sunglasses with a strap
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
