04.29.25 Shrewsbury RISE Indoor Rock Climbing 10:00am-12:30pm

This program will offer students the opportunity to participate in indoor rock climbing with their peers! Participants/Students will understand that working together with other people is an important skill to practice that translates into the rest of their lives.  This involves communicating  our needs and advocating for ourselves.  Our Goal word is Self-Advocacy.

• Participants will tell people while rock climbing what they want to do.
• Students will understand how to communicate their wants and needs during a challenging activity.
• Students will understand that support is very important when working with others and can help someone greatly going through a challenge.
• Students will understand the importance of encouraging themselves and others when doing hard things

Schedule:

• 10:00am: Students arrive/Opening Circle
• 10:10am: Game/Get Ready/Climbing Demonstrations
• 10:30am: Climb
• 11:45am: Return Gear
• 12:15pm: Closing Circle with Participants
• 12:30pm: Participants leave

Parking: There is ample parking at the gym in a parking lot or along the road. 

Meeting Location: Come to the front desk inside of the gym and the gym staff will direct you to our meeting location.

Waivers: Please fill out the following CRG Gym Waivers if you have not already prior to arriving on the program.
